This competition is run by JS Group, in partnership with the University of Sunderland. By entering the competition, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


1. The Competition

1.1 Two selected entrants will win the main prize of a £100 StudyPlus funds.

1.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable. There is no cash alternative to the prize.

1.3 JS Group reserves the right to temporarily suspend, cancel or vary the competition at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion, or due to circumstances beyond its control, and will use reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect on participants to avoid disappointment.

2. How to enter

2.1 Log in to your StudyPlus account at

2.2 If you purchase your course book bundle or course related text products, this is one entry in to the draw.

2.3 If you spend all your remaining funds left on your account you will be entered into the draw twice.

2.4 If you follow StudyPlus on Instagram at @sunderlandstudyplus, this is an extra chance to win!

2.5 Your order reference and Instagram username will be used as your draw entry.

3. Start and closing date

3.1 Entry to the Prize Draw will start on Friday 11th September 2020 and will close on Friday 30th October 2020 at 23.59.

3.2 Entries received after 23.59 GMT on Friday 30th October 2020 will not be included.

3.3 The lucky winner will be announced on Monday 2nd November 2020.

4. Eligibility

4.1 The competition is open to all current students at the University of Sunderland who receive StudyPlus funds.

4.2 JS Group reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants.

4.3 No responsibility can be accepted for entries which are not properly received due to communications beyond the control of JS Group.

4.4 If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms by an entrant, JS Group may, at its sole discretion invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from entry to the competition.

4.5 JS Group reserves the right to moderate entries and reserves the right to remove entries at its discretion that are deemed offensive, obscene or inappropriate.

5. Allocation of prizes

5.1 The winners will be selected by means of a random draw from all valid entries received once the competition has closed; using a random application of Microsoft Excel and data collected from our Instagram account. This will be conducted under the supervision of an independent person. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

5.2 If a selected winner does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms, JS Group reserve the right to re-draw and select an alternative winner.

6. Notification of prize

6.1 JS Group will notify the winner via a direct message to your University email. If JS Group has not received a response from a winner within 7 days to confirm that they can accept the prize, JS Group reserves the right to redraw and a new winner will be selected.

6.2 JS Group cannot accept responsibility for any direct messages that do not reach the intended recipients for any reason whatsoever.

6.3 The decision of JS Group is final and no correspondence regarding the prize allocation will be entered into.

6.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, JS Group excludes liability for any losses, damages or claims incurred by any person in connection with the Prize Draw or receipt or misuse of any prize. Nothing in these terms shall affect your statutory rights.

7. Data protection

Any personal information collected by JS Group in connection with this competition will be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy available the University of Sunderland.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

The competition and these Terms shall be governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
