This prize draw is run by the JS Group, in partnership with the University of Sunderland. By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.


1. The Prize Draw

1.1 One selected entrant will win the main prize of either Beats headphones or Apple Airpods. The lucky winner will be able to choose which they prefer once selected. There will also be an additional selected winner who will a £30 Nando's voucher for any entrant who spends all their remaining funds.

1.2 The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-changeable. There is no cash alternative to the prize.

1.3 JS Group reserves the right to temporarily suspend, cancel or vary the Prize Draw at any stage if deemed necessary in its opinion, or due to circumstances beyond its control, and will use reasonable endeavours to minimise the effect on participants to avoid disappointment.

2. How to enter

2.1 Log in to your StudyPLUS account.

2.2 Make a purchase using your StudyPLUS funds at

2.3 If you spend all your remaining funds left on your account you will be entered into the draw twice and also be entered in to our extra draw to win a £30 Nando's voucher.

2.4 If you follow StudyPLUS on Instagram, like and comment with the hashtag #STUDYPLUSWIN on our competition post, you have even more chances to win!

3. Start and closing date

3.1 Entry to the Prize Draw will start on Tuesday 22nd January 2019 and will close on Sunday 24th February at 23.59.

3.2 Entries received after 23.59 GMT on Sunday 24th February will not be included.

4. Eligibility

4.1 The Prize Draw is open to all current students at the University of Sunderland who receive StudyPLUS funds.

4.2 JS Group reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants to enter the Prize Draw.

4.3 No responsibility can be accepted for entries which are not properly received due to communications beyond the control of JS Group

4.4 If there are reasonable grounds to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms by an entrant, JS Group may, at its sole discretion invalidate the relevant entry and disqualify the entrant from entry to the Prize Draw.

4.5 JS Group reserves the right to moderate entries and reserves the right to remove entries at its discretion that are deemed offensive, obscene or inappropriate.

5. Allocation of prizes

5.1 The winners will be selected by means of a random draw from all valid entries received once the Prize Draw has closed; using a random application of Microsoft Excel and data collected from our Instagram account. This will be conducted under the supervision of an independent person. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received.

5.2 If a selected winner does not meet the eligibility criteria set out in these Terms, JS Group reserve the right to re-draw and select an alternative winner.

6. Notification of prize

6.1 JS Group will notify the winners via a direct message to your University email. If JS Group has not received a response from a winner within 7 days to confirm that they can accept the prize, JS Group reserves the right to redraw and a new winner will be selected.

6.2 JS Group cannot accept responsibility for any direct messages that do not reach the intended recipients for any reason whatsoever.

6.3 The decision of JS Group is final and no correspondence regarding the prize allocation will be entered into.

6.4 To the fullest extent permitted by law, JS Group excludes liability for any losses, damages or claims incurred by any person in connection with the Prize Draw or receipt or misuse of any prize. Nothing in these terms shall affect your statutory rights.

6.5 The lucky winner will be announced on Friday 1st March 2019.

7. Data protection

Any personal information collected by JS Group in connection with this Prize Draw will be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy available the University of Sunderland.

8. Governing law and jurisdiction

The Prize Draw and these Terms shall be governed by English law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
