Jackson's: Oil & Acrylic Brush Hair Comparison Set: Set of 5 No.6 Flat Brushes

Description

This Comparison Set contains a mixture of our most popular synthetic and natural hair flat brushes for use with oil and acrylic:

1 x Jackson's: Shinku Red Synthetic Bristle Hair Brush: Bright: No.6

The Jackson’s Shinku brush range is a red synthetic haired brush made to the highest specification. The hairs have a vibrant spring, and are glossy which helps achieve smooth and fresh brush marks.

1 x Jackson's: Shiro Professional Hog Bristle Hair Brush: Bright: No.6

Jackson’s Shiro brushes do not undergo boiling or excessive bleaching in order to maintain the strength of the hair. They retain natural curve and cuticle, which is essential for achieving the very best shape and spring.

1 x Jackson's: Akoya White Synthetic Bristle Hair Brush: Bright: No.6

Jackson’s Akoya brushes have a colour and liquid absorbency which is maximised by micro-craters in each hair that gather pigment and replicate natural hairs in a way that many other synthetic brushes are not capable of.

1 x No.6 Bright Jacksons Procryl Brush

Designed for professional oil and acrylic painters. Made with acrylic fibres and a long matte black handle. They are moderately springy and absorbant. They soften a bit after repeated cleaning with solvents.

1 x No.6 Flat Jacksons Black Hog Bristle Brush

Jackson’s Black Hog brushes are similar to black sable but with slightly stiffer hair. They have fantastic softness, touch and spring, with interlocked hair, copper ferrules and smart matt black handles.

Staff tip:

When cleaning synthetic brushes that have been used with oil paint it is advisable to not use turpentine as it will start to break down the synthetic filaments within the brush. Instead we recommend to use an odourless / low-odour brush cleaner.
