Laurel Burch was a self-taught artist and "flower child" whose work spoke from her heart with an unmistakable style that was the manifestation of her love of life and strong imaginative nature. Paperblanks Soul & Tears journal is based on one of Burch's famous images, inspired by the verse, "The soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears."
