Retail Sales Assistant - Temporary Full Time & Part Time Starting September 2010

John Smith’s at the University of East London is looking for energetic, committed and enthusiastic Sales Assistants to join us for a start prior to our peak trading period in September 2010.

The successful candidate will
· be a natural team player, with the ability to communicate positively and effectively with colleagues and more importantly customers
· ensure that our customers receive an exemplary standard of service at all times through face to face interaction and in delivering high shop standards
· have the energy and enthusiasm to succeed in the role and be willing to learn and support us to achieve our goals
Attention to detail, and coping under pressure are vital skills for this role.

The key responsibilities of the role will be:
· Providing customer service, and accurate till operations
· Merchandising the shop and providing high retail standards
· Invoice control and goods in, including manual work
· Specific responsibilities on key product groups
· Development of product ranges instore and on our websites
· Feeding back operational issues and sales opportunities to ensurethe success and growth of the business
· Supporting the Retail Manager in current focuses and workload as directed
